Chivalry is not dead! Men have forgotten what it means to be a man. Chivalry suffers from the same ills as romance and love. Men have not been taught or have forgotten the importance of women. How can they love, honor, and cherish, be romantic with or ravish for that matter, what they do not understand. Their mothers represent their most tangible source of feminine energy. Their mothers gave birth to them. What is not realized is that after their initial physical birth, the feminine energy plays yet another role in their constant rebirth and recreation. It is through the women and her divine female energy that men are not only born but, when men truly understand sex ultimate, are born again. Through the mystery of woman, man can achieve awareness and understanding of his greatest self.
It is not because you are weak that the doors should be held for you. It is not because you are incapable that the chair should be pulled out and pushed in for you. It is not because you are uncoordinated that your coat should be held when you put it on. And when you enter the room or return to the table it is not because you are in need of that attention because of insecurity. It is because the man sees before him the key to his divinity. It is because the man sees before him the answer to his deeper self. It is because you woman are sacred and represent the divine mother through which all life enters this world. It is because the man is witnessing the perfect mirror of himself. Does not a mirror need to be delicately handled? To show a lack of respect for a woman does not so much show what a man thinks of women. It shows what he thinks of himself. A man is only a man and is as much a man as he treats well a woman.
P.S. A man should never hit a woman. Ever! This is the act of a complete cowardice. However I believe it is continuous thanking and an occasional spanking that keeps a relationship healthy.

The world, especially the United States, is in a condition of unrest and dissatisfaction. How lovely to see, in these uncertain times, that there are still good men. It is so easy for women to turn their backs and minds on men, in disgust, and as the result of repeated disappointment. The men must be equally confused. We are a generation in between the old and the new. Feminism opened doors for us, expressed our anger and hurt at being marginalized, like any "minority". Unfortunately, the women in our times, the ones who came after the original feminists, have borne the brunt of being in two worlds. The men I know don't know whether to be men with us, or not; they want to support us, but don't know whether they are offending us, or not. We women who have done it all, worked hard in the world and been good mothers at the same time, are especially vulnerable. It is so hard to be strong, to be proud of being strong, and yet to be relegated to the status of a queen - powerful, yet alone. I don't want to be alone. I want to be a woman. I want a man who respects my strength, but who is not afraid to be a man and take some care of me, who is brave enough and secure enough to be my equal partner, yet be my protector at the same time. A man who knows that what I have to give to him, and what he has to give to me, are of equal value, but may be different. I am happy to see this does exist. Maybe, indeed, chivalry is not dead.
