This is balance. If you do not develop and balance both peace and passion, your life, as will your lover, will remain unfulfilled. To be a lover of another, of life, of the divine, of even yourself, you must have and provide both excitement and relaxation. If you cannot, your life and your relationship will fall to a one-sided extreme which will not last for long. In truth, it cannot, by laws of nature, last for long. Just as you need both a positive and a negative wire, a hot, and a cool or passive wire, to power anything, so too do you need the same in a relationship.
A man and a woman need to alternate these energies back and forth during their living and loving together. Although the masculine and the feminine play their majority roles, it is refreshing for them to play role reversal in their passive/aggressive or as I prefer assertive natures.
Just as a woman likes her man to ravish and take her, to pick her up, sweep her off her feet and carry her off through the doors of desire, she also needs to know he cares deeply for her. She neeeds to know he can really hear her and be sensitive to her feelings on issues that are affecting her. Just as a man appreciates a woman’s softness and her gentle way, oh my ladies do we like it when you give us that look that says mama needs some lovin’ and she needs it now!
Remember “Crazy on You” by Heart? Now that is a balance of peace and passion. Other songs that have that are “No One Like You” by the Scorpions, my favorite “Rock Me” by Great White and of course, "No Ordinary Love " by Sade. All of these songs have their slow and peaceful side then erupt with passion letting their lover know they are wanted and madly desired. They know how to lay back and watch like a panther or a wolf. Then as peaceful as they are one moment, they are passionate and wild the next. If you don’t feel that, like these songs there is a balance of peace and passion in your relationship, or in you on your own, you may want to check both your, your lover's and the pulse of the relationship. Not much is more disheartening or discouraging as a relationshp about to or already flat-lining on "lov support system.

Just for the record a woman who is a balance of Sade and Shakira, oh yeah, that would work for most if not all of us guys, just as I would imagine a woman, at least from what I’m hearing from the women that come to my classes, Richard (Gere) and Rambo! Peace and Passion people, peace and passion.
