PUMP FICTION

Why your workouts don’t work!
&
Why training, traditionally and improperly, is wasting your time, money
and energy!

Find out why just about everything you’ve seen or heard about lifting weights and resistance training is ineffective.

Find out how and why the ancient art of Kung Fu can help you defeat fat, bad habits and build a victorious body in a shorter time, using superior movement, body positioning and breathing.

Using the principles of the Martial Arts that allow someone to defeat someone twice their size, you can learn to cut your work out time in half.

Use the gym to teach you to relax and be more productive in the gym and in life.

Make your existing work-out 3x’s more effective.

A car is only as good as its driver and the gym, any gym is only as good as you are. The same principles you use to create productivity in the gym, you use in life. Wherever “you” go there “you” are!

Kung means time. Fu means energy. Together it means the time and energy you put into something develops “skill”.
Skill is what the Buddhists call “Opai”.

Most people go to the gym not only to build their bodies but think they are relieving stress. Actually as soon as you try to push or pull anything in an un-relaxed un focused way, you create more stress. You become what you practice most. If you train grunting and pushing in a gym, you are conditioning your brain to do the same thing in response to other difficult situations. Again, you can use the gym to teach you to relax and be more productive in the gym and in life.

TIME

Twice the Workout in Half the Time
Find out how to get “twice the work-out in half the time.”
Yes that’s what I said; you can spend half as much time in the gym and literally get twice the workout.

ENERGY

Everybody complains they don’t have enough energy. Between bad body positioning and poor usage of your time what can you expect. Learn how to get more done in a shorter time. Be more effective, more efficient and have more fun challenging yourself with better ways of training. Why not increase energy and power and learn how to have, “Effortless Power rather than Powerless Effort”?

Money

If time is money then the how you use your energy factors in big. It’s not the time; it’s the results in that time, productivity. If you’re wasting energy, you’re wasting time because the less energy you have, the less productive right? If you’ve got to go 130 miles in a 2 hrs and your car can only do 45mph when you need it to do 65mph, in an hour you are going to be 20 miles behind, in 2hrs, 40 miles. You’ll almost have to drive 3hrs to do what you could do in two. You’ve just lost an hour’s worth of productivity.

Mind into Muscle

You need skill, Opai. First work smart then work hard. Measure twice cut once. We’ve all heard it. Then we go into the gym and start using momentum and bad body positioning in a self-defeating manner to work-out. Momentum is good for work but bad for a work out. If you use momentum in the gym you are actually only channeling about half the weight you are using to the muscles. It is like spilling water into a glass rather than accurately pouring it. Bad body positioning not only wastes the workout, it can also cause injury. Bad body positioning plus reverse momentum from when the weight swings back from where you “threw” it to and improper yanking of weight are the number one causes of injury in the gym. If your injured the only thing you can build is a medical bill (wasting more money) and a spare tire.

Why train differently?

The Purpose of working out is to develop the body’s muscular, structural, and neuro-muscular systems using resistance.

If you do not develop good neuro-transmission and neur-muscular facilitation you will end up “somebody with a dumb body.” You will be uncoordinated. All show no go!

To build muscle, you “must” create what is called micro-trauma which is a breaking down of the muscle tissue and fibers so they can build-up. It doesn’t matter how many reps or how many sets or how much weight you use, if you do not create a micro trauma, your workout didn’t work. Nothing builds up that is not broken down. This is a principle of life. As Rumi would say, "Only a crushed grape can make sweet wine!"

As I mentioned earlier, you may not realize this but everything you do conditions your brain to continue to do things in that manner. Remember you become what you practice most. Why not train your brain to be cool, relaxed and calm. Direct your passion, your spirit and energy like a laser and develop more of it rather than dispersing it in angry useless unproductive prehistoric grunting? Remember, in life you are either a Warrior or a Wimp, a worrier. Also remember a dumb warrior ends up a dead warrior. There are old warriors and bold warriors but very few old bold warriors. Nothing kills like stupidity.

Train and work smart first. Be skillful. Make and save, time, money and energy. Time, money and energy saved, is time, money and energy earned.
